In the lead-up to a competition, bhangra dancer and young lawyer Harsimran Kaur has a frenetic routine: work, dance, eat, sleep, repeat. It’s a tough schedule, but the creativity gives her life balance.
When Harsimran Kaur returned to Sydney in early 2015 after six months as an exchange student at the University of Glasgow and a two-month family trip to India, she felt something was missing.
Although she was about to begin a full-time, graduate job at Gilbert + Tobin and part-time study at The College of Law to be admitted as a solicitor, Kaur wanted a cultural boost. So she became a founding member of BASS Queens, the competitive, all-girl arm of internationally acclaimed dancing group Bhangra All Stars Sydney (BASS).
